I purchased the policy for my family in Oct from BOB koparkhairane, Navi Mumbai and after multiple followups with the bank, the policy document was delivered. However the policy booklet and the ID cards did not come. On again contacting the bank branch, they directed us to contact the insurance company directly. For almost 3 months continuously, we tried calling the insurance company branch at Thane but either the phone would not be picked up or after picking up it will be kept on hold 'looking for the right person'.

When I contacted the BOB branch yesterday, they could talk to someone at Andheri branch (I think!) and the feedback was that since the photographs were not received by them, the ID cards are pending (No mention of why policy booklet could not be sent). The insurance company or the bank were not even bothered that they haev done an incomplete job after receiving full money.

The bank manager asked us to resubmit the photographs, again with a mention that the bank has no role in it and the insurance company is asking for it. All this was sublitted at the brach in Oct itself and they otherwise (rightly) were not willing to accept the proposal itself.

Six months have passed and we are not in possession of full documents and in case unfortunately a claim arises, we would have nowher to go. All of them including the TPA would wash their hands off that we do not even possess the ID cards.
