I went to Dubai for a week and on the way back I got a LCD TV, for which i was carrying a bill which was in my husbands name so at customs I was told to pay duty of Rs9000 cost of my TV is Rs 27000, when i told them I have the bill they said bill should have been on my name when I insisted that 9000was a big amount they said rules are rules i have to pay, but on my request they came down to 4000Rs, i payed 4000 Rs and asked for receipt the customs lady took the money and told me to leave.
I came on 21 APRIL from DUBAI BY EMIRATES FLIGHT NO EK566 AT 6 PM
THE CUSTOMS LADY WAS AT COUNTER NO 2 ALONG WITH HIS IMMEDIATE SENIOR BUT I DONT REMEMBER THEIR NAMES.
kindly help me in this matter as the money went to costoms officers pocket in the name of duty i am feeling cheated.
