I want to log a complaint for HDFC Bank. My father had a saving account in HDFC Bank. In February 2011, he got a mail from HDFC Bank asking him to close the account. This is despite the fact that he has always maintained proper balance in his accounts and only issued couple of cheques from that account. Although now he has closed his account, this is extremely unprofessional on part of HDFC asking consumers to close the account in such a manner. The consumers are initially persuaded by HDFC executives to open the account, transfer all their deposits into the bank and finally have to face this inconvenience and unprofessionalism from HDFC.
I also have preferred customer account in HDFC, although I haven't received any such ridiculous communication from HDFC, I am seriously thinking of closing that account.
