I renewed Health Insurance of my wife after a phone call came from ICICI Lombard. During the discussions I was given the option of EMI through ICICI Credit card. I specifically inquired about the interest and vwas clearly told that no interest would be charged. But when crdit card statement came I found hefty interest charges. On enquiry ICICI Credit Card executive told me that they are not cahrging any interest by Lombard was. My attempts to get Lombard to look at this issue is not being addressed. A partial recording was played back to me excluding the portion where it was confirmed that no interest will be charged. Even in what was played to me there was no mention of any interest charges. In one telephonic discussion with Lombard executive, he told me that no interest is being charged by Lombard. I had insisted on recording this talk which was confirmed by him. But this is not being considered now. I am being tossed between the Credit Card and Insurance of ICICI. It may also be noted that for a policy which starts on 27th May EMIs have been started from 13th May! I am looking for some resolution of this issue. Nishant Tanksale. ([email protected])
