HSBC transfer my money in HSBC Canara Insurance company

1. I visited HSBC bank first time about I can give correct date later. I have clearly mentioned my intention to the bank representative. I want to invest money for one year as an experiment and if it goes well I can invest more.

2. Bank suggested me a plan accordingly and told me about mutual funds. I was agree and he mentioned it also cover life insurance. I explained him, no one have patients to run behind Indian insurance company if something happen to me so I am not interested. But they insisted me it is free and all. They visited my house many times for everything and took me to hospital for check-up and all. Everything was well upto this point.

3. They have opened NRE account for me and ask me to transfer first 800, 000 rs. After coming back to Japan, I have tranafered 800, 000 rs.

Problem start here for me:

4. I was surprised to see monthly statement. It was about 600, 000 lakh. It was divided into 30/70% liquid/mutual fund but only 600, 000rs. When I have contacted bank; they have mentioned they have deducted insurance fee. I was surprised it was first time when I open the bank welcome kit to see my investment. I found it was Canara HSBC life insurance policy.

5. After that bank hardly contact me.. time pass away…. We have some phone call and email exchange. I tried to complaint everywhere but noghting comeout.

6. I visited bank after one year. They gave me option pay your next instalment (it was booked as three year policy, every year 800, 000rs) other I will lost my previous 800, 000rs. I tried to explain, argure and tired everything that give my money back I am not interested in life insurance at all. “ I came to bank and life insurance company.” If I need life insurance I would have gone to other insurance agents from the beginning.

7. But nothing happened. I transferred my second 800, 000rs without any choice. But policy was lapse that time due to late instalment payment.

8. Bank ask me for medical checkup again… after that I have had long email chain with canara HSBC insurance company because bank denied to do anything because it was not their business anymore…. I have long email exchange note. It tooks about 6month to communicate with then. But they couldn’t provided me right direction to take medical in Thailand or Japan. Then I have visited India and tried to take a medical check to reinstate the policy. But for some reason I couldn’t complete.

9. During this course of one year my second 800, 000rs was transferred from HSBC bank to Canara HSBC by my bank financial support person. And it was sitting with Canara hsbc. They sent my cheque to Thailand address. I do not wanted to encash it because I do not wanted to pay echange and I wanted that money to be in my NRE account.

10. That cheque remain with me for about 6 months. And finaly I have asked my mother to put in HSBC bank. Bank denied to put in NRE account but normal saving account.

11. Curent status policy laps.

• My complaint;

o I went to bank not life insurance

o Cheated by Bank agent with wrong information (but they got my signature on papers)

o Bank never tried to resolve issue but push me to pay instalment every year 8lakh rs. Otherwise I will loose my current 8 lkh rs.

o 2nd instalment, HSBC Bank transfer money to canara HSBC, but canara HSBC return to me in cheque – no interest to anyone. Bank should have transfer money after confirming canara accepts it. OR return check to my bank it self. It seems there is no internal connection. Then why Canara come in picture.. I went to bank not canara.

o In that process I lost my leverage to keep my rs in NRE. And Interest on it.

• What I am looking for:

o Return my money and I am not interested in life insurance.

o Interest on my second instalment where there is not my fault
