I use HSBC savings account. I am provided with a security device to operate my account through online. The security code generated from that device is mandatory if you want to do transaction or send any request or complaint to the HSBC. If I have not accessed my online account for more than 10 days, the code generated from the security device becomes invalid. So I have to login using my secondary password. But I could not do any transactions. Because I need the device code to do so. When ever this situation happens, I need to call the phone banking or customer care to get the device reactivated or what ever it is... Why do HSBC do this??
