Reimbursement of money due to failed transaction

On 18-03-10, during my visit to Mumbai, I went to an ATM of IDBI bank Ltd., near Vasai road railway station at around 22:05 hrs. I tried to withdraw a sum of Rs. 1000/- from the ATM, using my ATM card (of Punjab National Bank, with card no. 5048848888013614837, A/C no. - 0112000104742790). However that transaction was declined by the ATM. However, the said amount had been deducted from my account.

On returning to delhi, I filed a complaint in my bank regarding this. However on their enquiry the IDBI bank has rejected the complaint and have told that the transaction was successful.

Thus I had incurred a Loss of Rs. 1000/ due to negligience of IDBI bank and the malfunctioning of their ATM.
