I was approached by Policy Bazaar for purchasing Health (Mediclaim) Policy after i visited their site.
I was informed by one Mr. Rohit Chawla of Policy Bazaar that since I needed to renew my existing Policy with Reliance General Insurance Co. Ltd., I may change over to Apollo Munich Health Insurance as they were providing Portability benefit and also since their premium was much less.
When I received the Policy documents in the month of November, I was shocked to find that although Portability benefit had been granted to me I was given a waiting period of 1 (one) year for preexisting diseases.
It may please be noted that i was covered for preexisting diseases in my earlier health policy with Reliance and after getting assurance from Policy Bazaar representative that what ever the benefits I am being provided by Reliance, the same benefits will be provided to me in case of new policy with Apollo Munich Health Insurance.
Please note that the necessary documents required for availing Portability benefit were sent to Policy Bazaar along with the proposal form and other documents.
I have approached Policy Bazaar time and again but no proper response have been provided by them till date.
