The bill statement dated November 25th 2912 indicates that an amount of Rs. 27, 762.00 is due by 15th December.
I have deposited cheque number 716436 (drawn on State bank of Hyderabad, Habsiguda branch, Secunderabad) on December 13th at SBI card drop box in SBI, Nacharam branch, Hyderabad-500076. This is well within the last date of December 15th. My bank has informed that the cheque was deposited and amount debited from my account on December 17th.
I was surprised to note that the bill statement dated 25th December indicates that an amount of Rs. 27, 762.00 is due as of December 25th. Also, I have been charged:
1. late payment of Rs. 750.00 (excluding GST of 92.70)
2. finance charges on retail (excluding GST of 257.65) of Rs. 2084.54
3. GST of Rs. 350.35.
This works out to a total amount of Rs. 3184.89 that you have charged me unnecessarily.
Upon checking my account status online, I have noted that my payment via cheque number 7164336 is indicated as being credited on 26-12.
I submit that my cheque was put into SBI card drop box in SBI branch at Nacharam, Hyderabad on December 13th morning (well before the last date of December 15th). For some reason, the cheque was not presented to my bank on either 13th, 14th or 15th December. It was presented to my bank and debited from my account only on December 17th. Furthermore, in my SBI Card account, this amount was shown as payment received only on December 26th.
I am very unhappy that SBI card has charged me an amount of Rs. 3184.89 as late payment and finance charges for no fault of mine. I request you to please look into the same and remove these late payment and finance charges.
I have also been informed that this alleged late payment is being entered into my credit history. This is unfair as I have made the due payments.
