Poor Service at Bhagat Ford, Jalandha

Respected Sir/Madam,

This is in reference to a thoroughly disappointing and harassing service experience at Bhagat Ford, Jalandhar. Myself Wg Cdr HS Bhullar (Retd) had purchased a Ford Figo Titanium (Diesel) from Bhagat Ford, Jalandhar in the month of November. The vehicle was due for its first free service at 2500 kms and was taken to the dealership for its service after an appointment. However, the free washing of the vehicle was not done due to some problems with the washing equipment. The then service advisor Mr James said that I'd be called when the machine would be operational and i could get the car washed then. However, i never received any call from them for a week and so i got my car washed from outside. Just before the second free service the car met with a minor accident and the right side of the fender close to the headlamp misaligned and yet again i ended up taking an appointment. It may be kindly noticed that while taking the appointment all the work to be carried out was duly notified to the woman handling appointments at bhagat ford. She said that the entire job would take roughly 3 hours and so the vehicle was taken the following day. However the Body shop manager said that the job would take at least 5 to 6 hours and told me that they had a lot of cars to deal with so it won't be possible.

I was again told to await a call from Bhagat Ford but i never received that call. To my despair i had to get the job done from outside and the job hardly took an hour.

Prior to my Third service which was paid at 20, 000 kms. the vehicles front left side started making noises on uneven roads. When i called up Bhagat Ford i specifically mentioned this problem to them and i was again given an appointment. Yet again after the service i was told that the suspension needed a check up and it would take a lot of time. I was again told that i'd be called up and like always the call never came.

Today however i again took the vehicle and was told that the link rod of the vehicle needed to be replaced but it wont be covered under warranty because alloy wheels from a different manufacturer had been installed.

When i had taken the delivery of the vehicle i had enquired not once but twice from Mr. Karan Chauhan, sales executive about installation of alloys from outside and he said that it would be alright. On enquiring about warranty issues, he said that no such issue would come up as such.

Today he very clearly refused having said any such thing.

Further annoying was the fact that the service manager said that the link rod is subject to warranty for only 20, 000 kms and that now the vehicle has covered 24, 000 kms. The first question that arises is that why was the issue not addressed when the vehicle had come to them for service at 20, 000 kms??? The second question that arises is that why was I not asked to replace the alloys all this while till all the three services??? Was Bhagat Ford waiting for this particular issue to crop up

I have no personal grudges against Bhagat Ford and i was planning to buy the Ford endeavour next year but considering the kind of poor service and commitment i am having second thoughts.
