in IBP auto services at 1-11-258/A/29, Begumpet, Hyderabad, boys dispensing fuel are cheating the consumers in the name of inexperienced employees. I go to this station as this station is owned and operated by IOC (IBP division) for better quantity, quality and service.
Today I asked for tank full fuel for my car at 8.00 am in the above fuel station in the centre dispenser close to the road. An employee dispensed fuel with out uniform. Casual enquirey revealed that he is a new employee joined today. I could see lot of inexperienced faces with out uniform and cashier mentioned they are all new at different pumps. The cashier said the boy dispensed fuel worht Rs 200/- as he set the nozzle to stop Rs 200/- and zeroed the display. Then the boy dispensed fuel to full tank in auto mode and the cost is Rs 1850/- The cashier charged me for Rs 2050/- saying first they dispensed fuel worth Rs 200/- where as the meter was zero. I paid by credit card at 8.16 am today. When I handed over the credit card for payment the cashier in uniform asked asked for the PIN no. I told him it's not required.
These can be avoided by having printer attached to each pump showing the dispensed value and quantity, which is there in some stations.
If you have a provision you can check the pump dispensed values at about 8.00 am in the morning. I was civen a bill for Rs 2050/- with no. 26610.
Appreciate if you can take corrective measures not to have recurrence in future.
