I had booked an e-ticket on 06-01-11 for travel on 07-01-11 from Aligarh to varanasi by sleeper by Purva Express (Fare Rs.277 20). Since I could not perform the journey because the train was late by more than 10 hours, I tried Cancellation of my e-ticket (PNR No.2644139255, Transaction ID No.0293396139) on 07-01-11 at 1700 Hrs. but I could not, since the IRCTC website flashed the message "chart prepared - ticket cannot be cancelled".
As advised, I sent an e-mail to [email protected] giving the details of my ticket, etc. and requested for refund of amount admissible. Till date I have not received the refund. But they mail me saying that I have lodged the claim after 30 days! though I preferred the claim on the very same day of my supposed day of journey. Will any one enlighten me as to how I should proceed further in the matter?
