I own a santro xing 2005 model. i went to kun hyundai service centre kottivakkam on november last as my car mat (drivers end) was wet with oil. The service engineer said its an oil leekage from the power steering and i was charged Rs.5353 (bill dated 10.11.2010) toward repair. Again the problem persisted, the mat was still wet with oil. I was told this time that the entire power steering gear kit should be changed .i was charged Rs.18571 (bill dated 12.2.2011). But the problem persisted the mat was still wet with oil. for the third time i went to their service center at kottivakkam. They said that due to the viscosity of the existing oil the mat is still wet and charged around Rs.2500, for washing the mat and labour charges. NOW THE MAT IS STILL WET.I wonder if i was taked for a ride or the service engineers are incompetent to detect the actual problem. Now my car coolant has completely dried up, i wonder if it was actually the leekage from the coolant. I am angry and frustrated at undergoing this mental agony.i will be talking to the service people directly soon to lodge a complaint.
