The theatre (Innovative Multiplex) as per promises in various advertisements in the internet and the newspapers were to present a show of the Malayalam movie "Karayilekkoru kadal dooram" at 1315 on the 4th of January. My friend and myself, having planned to watch the movie at the Innovative Multiplex at Marathahalli, went all the way from Mallleswaram after a one and a half hour journey only to be told that the show would not happen because of supposedly low turnout for the movie. Not only were we talked to unpolitely by the executives at the ticket counter for expressing our protest, but were also given unconvincing arguements from the office regarding the cancellation of the shows. I believe that the reason why multiplex theatres charge such irrational amounts as ticket cost is just to make sure that such cancellation of shows doesn't happen. I would also like to express my extreme displeasure over the treatment we received at the hands of the theatre officials.
