Jaguar Bathroom fittings come with a 7 year warranty. Our building (Woodbury Tower Charmwood Village Faridabad) which came up less than 5 years back and has about 100 flats has all Jaguar fittings in bath rooms. One Diverter in my bath room started leaking in October. The service engineer who came to fix it changed some plastic part concealed in the diverter and charged Rs.1340/- in spite of my repeatedly telling him that as per warranty no charges were payable by me. He even wanted to charge for the labour also. However ultimately he agreed "to waive" the labour charges on my insistance that nothing was payable by me as the damage was not due to misuse and it was actually due to manufacturing defect of the product. The Diverter again started leaking and a complaint was lodged on 24th January vide no.11003128. No body has come to repair it so far inspite of reminder on 25th January and nothing has been heard from the company about illegal levy of charges for the part inspite of my reference to the Administrator at Jaguar where the complaint has been registered vide trouble ticket ID No. T T-9282401111123 of 25/1.
