PLEASE ITS ABOUT OUR FUTURE SIR SO DONT IGNORE IT
Sir I'm a 3rd year (6th sem) student of computer science engineering of "Bengal college of Engineering and Technology for Women". Durgapur.this is a new institute under SKS-gi group started in 2009.we are the first batch of this institute. SKSgi also has been running another b.tech college namely "Bengal College of Engineering and Technology" (co-ed) for more than 10yrs, which is in the same campus.
At the time of counselling we had been assured by the chairman and central management of our group that they would arrange centralised (merged) placement for the students of BCET women with BCET (co-ed).they also added that being the first women engineering college in the eastern zone, there will be atleast 80% placements for the first batch.
but now that recently we, the students of BCETW, had a meeting with chairman on 10th may'12 where he said us that there will be no campusing for the students of BCET women..when we asked for centralised placement with BCET, college authority/management/TPC said that our college does not have the accrediation as it's the first batch..and they won't be able to bring any A grade company to our college for on campus recruitment..where the students of another college of this group has already been told to register their names for Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and we have been told that we are not eligible for registration.
sir, my complaint is that we have been always assured that we would be having a merged/centralised campussing..but now when the time has come they are doing nothing.it's the question of our future..we have also paid the same amount of money (2lacs approx for 8sems) as our tuition fee in our college which all the other students have paid..then why this discrimination with us?
At the time of counselling we had been assured by the chairman "S.K Sharma" that all main issues like library, lab, faculties, and all the academic related problems will be resolved with the co-ed college BCET SKS-gi, Durgapur but now the main thing that is campusing after 3rd year is not going to be conducted combined with that college... and in the meeting with chairman on 10th may, 12 he said us that no campusing will be held for us, and it dosent matter to him that our college is being closed and also he threteaned us that he will close our college and hotel will be constructed here...
