EIILM UNIVERSITY RESULT IS PANDING TILL NOW
Respected Sir,
This is in regard to the BA Course that my wife is doing from your esteemed university. She joined BA in the year 2006. This is my second email in this regard.
I would like to ask the validity of the information on the your website. First of all nothing works. The right to information tab shows no information. At the same time your exam dates are never informed in advance. Your exam dates are preponed and postponed at your own will and wish. I tried calling up the university to know the dates and there was no response.
At the same time you have your study centre in New Delhi. The name is IITMH, Hari Nagar, Delhi. They charged Rs. 40000/- as annual fees for BA.They charged Rs. 4646/- as exam fees (a receipt on a plain piece of paper was issued by a madam which is not a valid one) from my wife in August. They had earlier said that the exam would be in May but they never let us know anything. We submitted the research work in time. Later after paying the fees in August the study centre people said that exams would be held in the month of August itself. It never happened. Later even after calling up again and again they never responded in a friendly way. They said the University people had not yet confirmed the dates of exams. Later my wife had to go to her home town for the delivery of our first child in September. After her two month rest when she returned home in November she was surprised to see the exam time table at the door which had arrived the previous day. The exam time table said that exams were to be conducted the following day we arrived. And it was totally impossible my wife to leave a two month old son and attend the exam at such a short notice. This time table was sent by the study centre people. On asking them the reason of such a short notice they put the blame on Periyar university. Thereafter they never informed us of any exams in the whole of 2008. We kept calling repeatedly asking the dates of exams but never got a proper answer from any of them. In 2009 January we called up again to ask them and they started blaming us for not contacting them regarding the exams. Finally I again paid Rs. 4646/- as exam fees (for which no receipt was issued even after demanding for one) in February. We asked when would be the exam and they said (study centre) that there was some bad politics going on in the university due to which the study centre as well as the candidates were suffering.
Today the study centre people called up and said that Exams for BA, would begin from tommorrow. That means just 16 hours before the exams they are calling up and saying that we should be prepared for a exam tommorrow. I am confused: Isnt the student and the entire stream of study being abused? Who should be responsible for this?
I was seeing the website of your university and was surprised that His Excellancy Surjeet Singh Barnala was the chancellor of this university. And there was a list of esteemed people who were on the list of authorities. But it is a sad thing to say that poor candidates like my wife (who pay their hard earned money as fees) have to suffer at the hands of dirty politics either played by the university or the study centre.
I am in a mindset of taking this matter to the consumer court at the earliest and to bring a stay in all the programmes conducted by the university and the study centre unless a few of my concerns are addressed.
My concerns are:
Large amount of annual fees
Exam fees without receipt
Last minute information of exams. (I still cant understand why the last minute information about exams are given. In that case the question papers are not valid too. Are they preparing the question papers the night before exams. Is all the arrangement done the night before exams. And if all this is done in advance to the exams why are the students not informed.)
I selected Periyar university for my wife rather than Annamalai University just because Periyar was offering a exam centre in Delhi. But I regret on the step taken because travelling to south India once and finishing the exams of Annamalai would have been less expensive.
If my case is not addressed on immediate basis, I will use my complete influence and let the media know about this, I will write a letter directly to the President of India, the Education Minister as well as to His excellancy Thiru Surjeet Singh Barnala. I will have an advertisement done in the paper saying that not a single person should join this unversity which boasts of have the UGC 'A' grade ranking.
I still have to say that I have respect for the university as well as to the distinguished authorities and thats the reason why I am writing to the university first.
