Refrigerator not working

I purchased a Croma branded refrigerator as a surprise gift for my parents on their anniversary. Unfortunately it stopped working five months after purchasing it. I called the customer care on 6/4 and lodged a complaint and was told that I will be contacted by a technician in 48 hours. I receive a call from the technician after 48 hrs but I was not available at home so I asked him to come the next day. The tech doesn't show up and I don't even receive a call back for two days so I called the tech back and he told me that he will come and service my fridge that day. The day goes by no show by the tech. I had to call him again and had to be a little assertive this time and he assured me that he will fix my fridge tomorrow. At last after all the run around I had the tech shows up at my home and examins the fridge for almost 30 odd min and tells me that the timer went bad and he needs to get the part from somewhere and will replace it tomorrow. Again the tech does not how up. I waited for 5 days and still no news from them so I called the tech again and asked him about the part replacement and he tells that he will replace it tomorrow and the run around starts again. Even after numorous attempts, the tech still does not show up so I decided to call the store and report this issue for which they simply transfer the call to the same tech who I was talking to all these days. I got very aggrevated and strongly told the tech that if I do not get the service by tomorrow, I will have to escalate this issue and no wonder, the tech still does not show up nor I receive any call from him. Now starts my frustration and anger. I call the store and ask for a manager but for some reasons he was not available so I had to explain my whole situation to the lady who picked up my call to which she told that she will have the manager call me. Adding fuel to my anger, I don't receive a call back. So I had to call them back and even this time the manager is still not available but another lady takes my call and tells me that she is the managers assistant. I explain my whole situation to her and clearly told her that I am fed up with all this run around and I do not want any service from them but to just replace the unit. To which she said she needs to talk to the tech and find out what is the issue and promissed me a call back. To my surprise, I receive a call back from her and she tells that the technician will come and replace the part asap. I got pissed off and told her clearly that I DO NOT need any service I just want a replacement of the unit as I do not have time for all this nonsense. She told me that she needs to look into this issue and will get back to me. As usual, I do not receive a call back and I had to call them back. Some lady answers the phone and tells me that the issue has been esalated and fridge will be most probably replaced. I still do not get any updates on the replacement. So I call them back and this time was told that the replacement is not possible. I again ask for a manager and this time I get to speak to the store manager who again tells me that he needs to talk to the tech. A few minutes later I get a call from the technician and he wants to come and repair the fridge. I refuse the service and told him that I just need a replacement or a full refund for all the inconvinence that I had because if them. The tech told that there is hardly anything that he could do and asked me to call the store manager again. I call the store and a lady picks up my call and again the same drill. Today is 19 th June my fridge still does not work. This is a very bad experience that I ever had in my life and I think I made a big mistake by purchasing the refrigerator from Croma. I would definitely not buy anything from there ever in my life. I purchased a TV, a washing machine, a digital camera and a DVD player from Bajaj electronics 2-3 years ago and haven't encountered any issues with them so far. The first time I bought something from Croma and I am stuck in a very bad situation now. I want the higher authorities to look into this matter and either replace my fridge with a different brand or refund my money as I do not trust the Croma brand any more. PLEASE HELP ME
