Received W.Machine in damaged condition

I sent Washing Machine (Front Loading - 7 Kg.) from Bahrain through Riffa Gate Cargo service to my home in Thane Dist. (Maharashtra).

Washing Machine was brought to my house on 06.06.2011 but the Delivery person was not allowing me open & check.

After much insistence we opened the pack in front of the delivery person and he witnessed all the damages. He told me to write all the damages on the back of the POD bill (Proof of Delivery) & I wrote all the damages very clearly on the back of the POD bill. I'm not sure whether this is the proper way to mention any damage OR the delivery person misguided me.

I followed with the Cargo service in Bahrain, but they received the scanned copy of POD & they say as there is no remark on front of the POD they can't do anything. It is falsely entered in the system of Gati Ltd. that everything is normal. The delivery person cheated.

I followed with Gati Ltd. customer care service & asked them to sent me both Front & Back copy of the POD so that I can follow up with Cargo service in Bahrain & they can approach Insurance company for any claim.

I reminded Gati Ltd. last on 2nd July but there is no response from them.
