Complaints Not Attended. Washing Machine is under AMC

I own an IFB fully automatic washing machine, Senator, 6 Kg. I registered for Annual Maintenance Contract vide the Invoice No.40596 dated 9-2. The contract is valid up to 8-2. I made a complaint on 4-9 stating that the Washing Machine is leaking. The complaint number is 7084084. IFB service personnel who came and inspected the Machine informed that the Tub of the Machine is leaking and that it has to be changed.

I regret to state that there was absolutely no response from the IFB side. I have made so many phone calls to your service centers in Cuddalore (Which is now shifted to Chidambaram) and every time they use to say that the Mechanic will come and change the Tub. As there was no action, I contacted the Toll Free Number at Bangalore and also the Customer Care at Chennai. They, on their part, assured that they will contact and inform the Mechanic and that the fault will be attended immediately.

Two and a half months have passed since I had registered my complaint. There is no action despite so many repeated calls to your customer service centers at Cuddalore, Chidambaram, Chennai and Bangalore. Only wastage of money through so many phone calls. I am totally disappointed by your customer care. There is no responsible answer to my calls and they were so rude that even my calls were not attended to.

I am writing this letter with a hope that you will take immediate action to change the tub. In spite of buying the machine and also paying for the AMC, I am not able to use it for the past so many days. In addition to that I am spending my time and money on my calls to your customer care centers.

If a Customer of IFB Washing Machine, particularly with an AMC is made to suffer like this for months together, What is the use of purchasing the IFB washing machine and what is the use of paying Rs.2200 towards AMC? What is the use of having a Customer Care wing without any action or use?

Two and a half months of precious AMC time has been wasted because of the inordinate delay in attending a fault. A delay to this extent is totally unacceptable, whatsoever the reason may be. I request that immediate steps may be taken to rectify the defect and the waste of two and a half months of AMC which is directly attributable to your company be extended by way of AMC up to 30-4. Other wise, please note, l will be forced to approach the Consumer Forum for damages.
