I purchased an LG Tromm washing machine in Feb 2008 from Vijay Sales in Mumbai. After a while the machine stopped working. After I lodged a complaint, the service technician attended to it. The water pump had to be replaced. Shortly thereafter the motor had to be replaced. Soon after that the machine would not start and the problem was identified as a defective door latch. The technician claims he has ordered a new part which apparently is in short supply.
Repeated attempts to contact their various customer services executives have yielded no results - no one picks up the phones at the numbers provided. Today I was promised that some one would call me within 1 hour - at 2 pm. No one has called back till 5 pm.
My attempts to reach any senior functionary of the company were thwarted - no one would give me the contact numbers.
Clearly LG has no intention of listening to the customer.
I am most disappointed with this attitude of LG. Perhaps they are waiting for the guarantee period to expire which will happen in about a months time.
If the defective machine is not replaced immediately I intend to complain to the consumer forum.
