My mother in law has taken policy (P/141124/01/009576) from Star health insurance on Dec. 3 Months later, When she visited the doctor for general check up as she is a diabetic, she undergone UG scan for abdomen and pelvis and it is found that there is “ ovarian dermoid cyst tumor ” with size 6.3X4.7X4.3 sze. Doctor suggeted the operation and she under went operation. Star health rejected the claim saying that it is pre-existing deases.
Before that inception of the policy, star health insurance has done the same Ultra sound scanning and the scan report shows that there is no abnormality in scanning (no tumor is found) and then they issued the policy.
When i contacted Grievance -cell of Star Health Insurance, they also rejected the claim without giving the proper reason for the scan report which is done by them.
As i have a both report, we will go to the next competence level of authority (IRDA) or Consumer court as claim is rejected even for genuine reason.
Please do not buy policy or do not suggest any body to buy policy from STAR HEALTH INSURACE as they are just cheaters
