BSNL DataOne Broadband service not working for a month

I have been using BSNL DataOne broadband service for about 4 years now. Once in about a year it will give some major problem. This time the service didn't work and I have been running pillar to post to get it to work but without success.

I have logged complaints twice with their customer service. I have also gone and visited their engineer in-charge Mr. Deshpande of Karve Road branch. Every few days I will get a call from them asking whether the issue is resolved and if not then they will send a service engineer but no one had come.

Today a service person came and he said that maybe the ADSL modem I got from BSNL (for which I am paying a monthly rent of Rs100) might be faulty and I should take it to the BSNL branch and get it inspected. I asked him whether he could do this as he is the BSNL person but he said that he does not have the necessary equipment. Now I will need to carry this to their office at their office times which isn't easy. See my note below.

When I had gone to the BSNL broadband centre at Karve Road Telephone office to meet Mr. Deshpande then no one had come there till even 10:30am. First person came in around 10:45 to 11am. They will close early in evening and have break for lunch. Its not easy to logde a complaint on the phone too as most of the times they will not pick it up. Its very frustrating.
