I have taken a new BSNL 3G connection couple of weeks back from BSNL office near Statue Jn, Trivandrum. The speed offered was around 3.1 Mbps. I enquired about the 3G signal strength at Manacaud/Sreevaraham area and the reply from the 3G enquiry divsion was that the signal strength is too good within city limits and i should be getting assured browsing speed. They don't even bother to give a demo of the product at our place.
I purchased the device last week and tried using the connection. I was really shocked and disappointed to see that the speed i was getting is just around 250-300 Kbps. The signal strength is also very bad. I checked with the same device at Statue office and the signal strength is very good. Hence the problem is with the 3G tower at Manacaud/sreevarahom area. I request the concerned authorities to look into this issue and take the necessary action at the earliest so that the customers will be getting the assured speed offered by 3G.
