Billing Problem

Hi,

I would like to inform you that MTNL is the most patetic service provider for internet. Telephone was ok, but their customer service or Internet website of mtnl is really BAD. So is their billing department for broadband. I have two complaints. First time I had to pay now this time I am not going to pay.

First time when i had applied for MTNL broadband service, i had opted for Mtnl night unlimited. My number is 24080263.

I had ordered over the phone few years ago. That time the bill used to come for two months together. When the first month Bill came, it showed that i was not on night unlimited but pay as per you go. I was charged for all the mbs consumed during the night. I fought with them. I was quite young, my mother had to take all the troubles by visiting their office every now and then. They dint do anything. At the end of the day, we had to pay. We disconnected the broadband immediately.

After few years, now in march they had introduced 495 combo plan. I had opted for this plan. But the speed was no good. So shifted to my normal cable operator in the month of may (somewhere on 15th may). So i requsted them to change to Rs. 49 - 200mb limit plan on 28th May. The operator who took the request said that it will change on 1st of June. I was using the internet accordingly till 1st June. When i opened the page on 1st June the plan was still on combo 495 UL, I dint get a call from them regarding the plan change, and the website - http://register.mtnl.net.in/ - showed i was on 495 Unlimited. I called the customer care, asked them when will it change. They said it will happen soon. I went on using MTNL whnever there was a downtime on my other internet. I used to call the customer care on a daily Basis and check the website. The plan dint change untill 10th of June. I opened the website and checked my account, it showed the plan 49 plan and as per pro rata, they gave me 140 MB for the remaining month. I called customer care if it was the remaining balance. They confirmed that the plan has changed and yes i can use upto 140 MB.

Now I have no idea why the june months bill and july months bill came in the month of July. I got a call in July that there is an unpaid amount for previous bill. I was shocked to hear the amount. It was around Rs 5000. I was sure that again MTNL Broadband Dumb service has gone wrong somewhere. I waited for the bill. It came towards the end of july. It showed that broadband usage for the month of may - 3500 mb and then next months bill - broadband useage for june 2500 MB. I was shocked, since june 10th and as per website, i have used accordingly and have never crossed the usage limit. Infact i was so careful when it reached near 50mb left, i stopped using it. These DUMB MTNL BROADBAND AND ACCOUNTS DEPARTMENT are saying that the plan changed to 200 MB limit on 29th May itself. So i was charged for those three days -29th to 31st of May and from 1st June to 10th June morning before the plan was changed. I approached them saying that it was confirmed and dint change on 29th. They made me visit different department- from accounts to technical engineer. None of them could resolve the Problem. They also made me talk to the head of SION MTNL. She couldnt resolve it either. She asked her assistant MR DUKREE to help me further. Mr. Dukree, Good for nothing, says that nothing can be done about it. You have to pay for those useage since you have used it. Another thing, Just for the information which even they corrected it now- I was charged for the entire month broadband MB useage for may month- where they agree that it was changed on 29th may. Wow they Make errors and they have their own story, in which itself they have made an error. I need my Line Back. I was happy with MTNL Telephone Line. I would never recommomend any one to go for such an unorganised Broadband service which shows something on website and customer care, and bill us according to their systems. I am Highly dissatisfied. I need a solution. My Line has been disconnected. Im not ready to pay for their Mistakes.

I am not rich either that i can pay this and continue. Im seriously disapointed that they are mugging poor and lower middle class people. All that Mr Dukre does is laugh and then doesnt help at all. I need raise a complaint against all these people.
