Too slow 2g aircel internet

Dear Sir,

I am Pradip Sikdar, a visually challenged student (graduation) from Kolkata, India.

Our country India is developing and it is developing very fast. In terms of the growth of any country or nation, "telecommunication" plays a vital role. Usually, our telecommunication system should not be off the track or rhythm.

I can proudly tell that, "TRAI" has taken several steps to improve the service on this regards, especially in the broadband service.

It is obvious that, we do not get the broadband speed in our country like the other developed country. But the recent initiative of "TRAI" has proven that, our country is very much aware of it.

But very unfortunately, all network operators do not apply the regulations of "TRAI" all the time. recently I have heard that, from January the service provider would have to maintain a minimum level of internet speed. I really don't know the actual measures of the speed. But I thought, I will get better speed in 2013. Again I am unfortunate. I have got lesser speed in 2013 than 2012. Here in Kolkata, I have an aircel connection (9804404554) which provides reasonable broadband plans. For example, I have a prepaid plan, where I have to recharge rs 128 to get 500 MB 3g and after the Kota is over, I get 128 KB speed for unlimited use for a month. Previously in I got 20-30 KB of download speed after finishing my 3g Kota. But from I am getting only 3-4 KB of download speed. It is not only pathetic but shameful!

I am facing this issue from the location of Hajrah (my hostel) which is in Kolkata. Aircel indeed is a good service provider. But before expressing this statement I have to forgot that, if I go anywhere outside Kolkata, I will get very weak signal. In my home Agarpara, which is not very far from Kolkata (Kolkata 700109), I get very weak signal where using internet is out of imagination. Again, the price may be reasonable, but the company should provide what offer. 128 KB desn’t denote 3-4 KB of download speed. I can also asure that this is not the problem of my handset. I have triedusing several handset from my friends. As I stay in a hostel, this not a big issue at all.

I don't know whether it is the proper place to report this issue or I should go to the consumer forum.

Please do look at it and tell me the right direction.
