I had given a request to airtel via phone to cancel my broadband and telephone account on 23rd May. After that they called me a couple of times offering me various plans but I said no. Finally I was informed that my account will be cancelled in a couple of days. There executive visited my home to confirm my cancellation request and he said that account will get cancelled in couple of days. I didn't hear from Airtel after that so I thought that my account is cancelled.
Today (29th June) I receive a email from airtel containing a bill to the full amount for the month of June inspite of my account being cancelled. When i called their customer care they inform me that the number has not being cancelled!!!
These big companies only want to rip people off!!
Should I go to consumer court with this?
