I'm a regular consumer of GOLD WINNER sunflower oil for many years. Before switching on to GOLD WINNER, I was using SUNDROP Oil. Considering the price and the quality of GOLD WINNER, I switched over to it and highly satisfied with the quality.
On 08.10. I purchased 5 Ltr pouch from a reputed oil shop at Villivakkam, based on the recent advertisement floated by them. The advertisement says that the cost of 1 litre oil is Rs.50.90. If we buy 5 ltr pouch, we will be given 500 ml. oil free. As per the advertised price, cost of 5 ltr. should be Rs.255 (assuming Rs.51/- per ltr). I was charged Rs.288/- and when questioned, I was told that the balance Rs.25/- covers the cost of the 500ml oil. I was surprised to hear this and I couldn't refrain from buying as it has already been billed.
I wanted to know whether the company is making false advertisements or the dealers / sub-dealer are taking advantage of this offer? I require clear clarification from the company. If the advertisment is false, I shall make necessary arrangements to seek legal aid to protect the consumers in future.
