Adhoc disconnection of Channels

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am one of subcribers of Hathway Digital Cable TV Services. I live in bangalore on Sarjapur road.

Since this morning i have not been getting the 3 sports channels (ESPN, Star Sports and Star Cricket) both on the Analogue or the through my set top box. I tried calling the number listed on their website for bangalore and there is no answer.

Although i am aware of the numerous options available to watch cable TV, i have still gone with Hathway. Also despite the fact that the service levels were really bad, where the installation and activation took almost 3 weeks i am still willing to continue with their services.

But not being able to get through to customer support numbers is not acceptable. I have checked with my friends in other areas of bangalore and all of them have confirmed that ESPN, Star sports and Star Cricket are not available. Therefore it cannot be a cable/link problem. This more or less seems like a adhoc decision by hathway, for whatever reason, to block these channels. And as far as my little knowledge of such things go, i beleive any cable operator who wishes to block certain channels will have to give a 20 or 25 days notice through ads in the paper before blocking. This was not done.
