I had payed my last HDFC payment of 1898 vide cheque 867266 and this was payed late because i was not getting my statements in time. After repeated requests only one executive called me and told my outstanding with late payment of 400rs. when i told about the non availability of statement, he told the late payment will be waved off and i have to pay the rest 1898 which i have done on the next day. I informed him that i need to close the card for which he told that he will sent an executive for collection of the card and giving me the settlement letter. It has never happened and i never used HDFC card after that.
Now for the past 3 weeks for my surprise i am getting regular calls from HDFC collection dept telling that i have an outstanding of 3000 rs and need to be payed. When i asked for the details they are not willing to give and started abusing me telling that they can collect the payment either from me or from my parents. None of the cutomer care executive are giving me the higher authority number so that i can explain him the problem.
