DRIVER SOFTWARE MALFUNCTION

RECENTLY I INSTALLED A NEWER VERSION OF THE HP dv 6663 LAPTOP SOFTWARE AFTER BEING PROMPTED TO DO SO BY THE "HP-TOTAL CARE ADVISOR" SOFTWARE PROVIDED BY HP WITH THE LAPTOP

SINCE THE INSTALLATION OF THE UPDATE - THE BLUE L.E.D. ON THE MOUSE TOUCH PAD (THE ONE THAT INDICATES THAT THE TOUCH PAD IS IN ACTIVE MODE AND WHICH TURNS RED IN COLOR ON LOCKING THE TOUCH PAD USING THE LOCK BUTTON ON THE TOP CENTER OF THE TOUCH PAD) HAS STOPPED GLOWING

ALL MY ATTEMPTS TO MAKE THE L.E.D. GLOW BY TRYING VARIOUS SETTINGS

-(LIKE SETTINGS OF THE TOUCH PAD IN THE CONTROL PANEL AND PERFORMING A SYSTEM RESTORE TO A RESTORATION POINT PRIOR TO THE INSTALLATION OF THE NEW DRIVER) HAVE PROVEN TO BE FUTILE!

HOPE THAT HP COMES OUT WITH THE SOLUTION OF THIS PROBLEM SOON!
