It was in Dec that i made a full and final settlement of the dues on my HSBC credit card. I even received a "Zero Dues" letter from HSBC dated 18th Dec (ref: FFS/NI/NDH/WO/CPD/151208-1mc). 3 weeks back i received a call from a person calling from the no 011 45023836 demanding why i had not paid up my dues. when i told him that i had cleared all outstanding and also have a letter from the bank, he demanded that i read out the letter. I was in the office and told him that i dont have the letter here. This agent then started abusing me in hindi saying that i had no such letter and i better pay up my dues. he also said he would call back the next day for the reference no of the Zero dues letter. I Immediately called the HSBC call centre in bangalore and lodged a complaint against this person. (complaint no 2904298431). I am sure they are sleeping over the complaint.
Today i received another call from the same recovery agent this afternoon. He hurled abuses and was not even prepared to listen to what i had to say. then i was determined to lodge a complaint again. Holding HSBC credit cards are injurious to Mental health. It is not that They are doing us a great favour by giving us credit cards. We pay the interest also for the same. When we had the card it was a different torture. With the due date nearing, we used to get about 25-30 missed calls a day. One ring and it would stop. when we complained about this, they said that they were system generated calls (All these calls were from Chennai). Now when we dont have the card, we have to go through the same ordeal. WHY??
I have been reading all the greviences on this forum. Mr Mahendra Mahadev Sakpal has also written about being harassed by an agent from the same number more than 3 months back. i wonder if HSBC really takes these complaints seriously. In todays competetive world a little courtesy will take them a long way.
