Auto rickshaws in hyderabad not charging passengers at metered amounts

Autorickshaws near hitec city in hyderabad do not have meters and they charge exorbitant amounts to new passengers. Even if an autorickshaw has a meter, it does not work most of the time. There are no police checks available on the auto rickshaws, probably because they dont pay anything to the currupt officials.
