I have been using ICICI credit card since 01/06. I have never defaulted any payment. In the month of Feb i used to card for shopping with the total outstanding of 768/-. The due date for the payment is 10th of March.
I started getting calls from ICICI outsourced collection agency (tel no 011-66183300) demanding to pay the amount. I said this will be paid well within the due date i.e. 10th of March. But they started to insist when m i going to pay this amount. I could not understand why personal Mobile no was shared with ICICI 3rd party collection agency on the first place, secondly why am i getting these kind of threatening calls. I called ICICI customer care and spoke with Prabha who registered my complaint (98956059) and i was assured i would not be receiving any calls.
But i kept on recieving these threatening calls from 011-66183300. Hence i registered my complaint online through ICICI complaint and grievance deptt. On 6th of March i received a mail from them assuring me the matter has been sorted out and they apologies for the mistake and reconfirmed that i would not be receiving any calls from Collection Agency.
Still on 7th of March even after payment of my full outstanding i received the call demanding the payments.
These calls has really traumatized me and i have lost all the faith in ICICI. Please advice how can a bank share personal information with 3rd party collection agency without notifying the customer and even when the customer has not done any thing wrong.
Please suggest how can i file a Lawsuit against ICICI for the breach of confidentiality of customer information and calling and threatening customer for no fault of his.
