Indian Railways
Awareness about train boarding rules

Dear sir

This is regarding awareness about train boarding rules of Indian railways.

i bought a ticket from Mumbai to Hazrat Nizamuddin. The date of journey was June 19. The train no 2953 (august kranti rajdhani express). The PNR 834-2863951. The ticket was issued under RAC which was confirmed and allotted accomodation in Coach A2 bearth 48.

I did choose baording destination "Bharuch"at the time of booking. But due to some reason i boarded the train at Vapi.

as a result i was penalised to amount of 1670/- (receipt no. K 433539) saying that i am not authorised to baord the train before Bharuch even if i have paid for the entire journey. i was told that boarding before bording station is treated as a ticketless.

I want to know is that right?

if it is right where this rule is defined?

The said train is ISO 9001 certified. where is customer communicatiuon about such rules?

Should not the railway publish such rules on back side of the ticket instead of ads?

waiting for reply.

regds.
