My name is Susan John. Kindly help me in resolving my plight.
I am a resident of Flat No. 75, DDA Flats, Lado Sarai, New Delhi. I living here for the last many years. I am terribly afraid that people around my flat may soon become victims of Dengu fever, especially since many children are living nearby.
Since many months, I have been troubled by owner of first floor flat (Flat No. 74).
He has installed a water tank on his terrace, the water of which overflows continuously for more than 30-45 minutes daily in morning and evening (from 7.15 a.m.to 8 a.mand 6.16 p.m. to 7 p.m). Thus, it is causing very acute water stagnation for many hours and as a result mosquitoes has started breeding. I fear there will be another outbreak of dengu in the area very soon.
The plea to rectify the same has not yielded any result so far. So far the house owner has not done anything to repair the ever-flowing terrace tank or repair the broken drainage pipe.
Sir, please note that Lado Sarai has had a case of Dengu last month or so and I suspect it is because breeding of dengu causing mosquitoes due to this dirty and stinking water from drainage pipe and water from the overhead tank on the terrace (which flows continuously for one hour. Sir, MOREOVER, THE LANDLORD DOES NOT BOTHER TO SWITCH OFF THE MOTOR WHEN TANK IS FULL, THUS, INCREASING WATER LOGGING.
Sir, there are many children (aged six months and above) in nearby flats and also they have got fever innumerable times because of all these. Sir, for the safety of the people of Lado Sarai and to stop breeding of dengu mosquitoes, it is kindly requested to take necessary action to ensure that the free flow of water from the tank in the terrace and filthy water from the drainages are stopped immediately for the safety of our children. Water stagnation for many hours is causing deep harassment and unsafe for us, especially children.
It is kindly suggested to please direct the occupants of the first floor flat to at least install a ball or a pipe on the water tank so that the water does not flow down resulting in water logging and to replace the broken drainage pipe immediately to get rid of water stagnation and foul smell always.
Sir, please help me sir as I am a lady with no one to help me as my husband is also away to help me.
