I am working in Larsen& Toubro Ltd and i was holding the passport no A7904974 and it was expired on 15.06.2009. I had applied for the re issue of passport through our travel agent 'Masters&Tours pvt ltd on 12.06.09.In my new passport i want to incorporate the change of address for that i had submitted the original ration card and pan card. After a week time travel agent has told me that passport official wants the proof of letter issued by IT dept to prove the PAN card is correct. The letter was issued by IT dept was 10 years ago and it was misplaced some where. Please note that even after submitting proof of address (original ration card) pass port re issue was denied. I am paying the tax for past ten years and i am having the IT return acklowledgement copy. Interestingly in last ten years i had travelled many countries Uspezkistan, Russia, Germany, China, Qatar and Bahrain. As a tax payer and citizen of india, passport re issue denial which created embrassing situation to me. As per the passport re issue guide line they wants the ration card. That i had submitted and it is up to passport office to verify whether the ration card information is correct or not. Because of one reason which is not given in their guideline how they deny the passport. Instead of that they can ask some more details to prove my residence proof. Please suggest me what is to be done.
