MTNL-Mumbai has not revised plans and tariffs since the introduction of Triband service i.e. since 2005. Reliance and other competitors of MTNL are providing broadband at very less price. Even MTNL-Delhi has done it. Why MTNL is not thinking of reducing the tariff?
Reliance offers a broadband plan @Rs.299 per month which contains 1 GB of download limit and includes ADSL rent, whereas Mtnl charges Rs. 599 per month ADSL router rent for 1 GB.
MTNL has recently revised unlimited plans and its tariff is way to huge than other competitors like Tata Indicom and Airtel. eg. Tata Indicom charges Rs.1000 for 256kbps unlimited connection, Airtel charges Rs.999 for 256kbps unlimited connection, whereas MTNL charges Rs.2500 for the same speed connection!!
Does TRI or some kind of internet billing govt. company has a control over the pricing?
So as a consumer I hereby request you to look into the matter.
