Unable to connect data cable

I am unable to connect my set wid duplicate data cable and i tryed all types of data cable also original, but it does'nt respond, some people checked my mobile port but they r also unable to connect pc wid phone so, plzz gimee rply and solution as soon as possible.i will be thankful to u
