I had applied for a new passport on 31/12 at the passport collection centre, Anand, Gujrat. The police enquiry for the same was concluded in the first week of January. Till date I hae not received the passport. When I checked in the status, the reply comes that the file does not exists, either the passport has been sent or the file must be more than one year old. I oersonally visited the passport office on 4/6 and gave a written complaint. But still i didn't receive any reply. Again I had gone to the regional passport on20/11 and met the Public Relations Officer and she said that the passport has been issued on 30/1 and despatched on the same date. Here in Anand, I went to the post office and gave a complaint and they had searched in their computers and said that they havenot received any letter/passport in my name any time. Now I dont know what has happened to the passport and when I will receive it. The time spent in travelling from and Anand to Ahemedabad is very sternous and as i am a working women i can't spend my time in travel again and again for this.
Hence I request you to kindly look in to this matter and send my passport sooner.
