Dear sir,
I had purchased Philips radio (model RL-118) which despite being under warranty is not being serviced by authorized service centre.
Point of Purchase: Watchland Trading co. Pvt Ltd, Aurangabad
Nature of purchase: Philips Radio (Model RL-118)
Invoice no : 2016 dated 12/8
Product warranty : 6 months
1) Complaint regn no: 126800, Galaxy Electronics, Ghatkopar, Mumbai
Problem occurred in jan when the internal battery of the radio did not recharge. The same was brought to notice of Galaxy Electronics, Ghatkopar; which was rectified on 24/1.
2) The same problem reoccured on 5/2 (more over there was leakage of current in body of radio); the service centre (Galaxy Electronics, Ghatkopar) refused to rectify saying it was not service fault but misuse by the user for which they wont repair the radio free of cost but would charge Rs. 350/- They asked me to move to another service centre in Thane or Kalyan. Vision Electronics, Philips authorised service centre refused to even acknowledge the complaint and said that the product had been tampered and I must pay the charges for any repair or service.
3) Warranty expires on 11/2; and there is no mention of the clause that any part has to be repaired only once if it is under warranty.
How can the product / service provider be so much insensitive to the needs & complaints of consumer that too when the product is under warranty
