Failure to inform activation of ISD pack service

Against phone call from the marketing dept of Airtel that they are offering ISD pack service to some select customers only, I agreed for so as I do dial ISD sometimes. The terms told to me on the phone were that the charge is Re.1/- per day for the no. of days the service remains active. And when the service is active, the ISD cahrge to USA & UK will be Rs.2.99 per minute against the rate of Rs.5.99 per minute. They also clarified that I can choose the no. of days in a month that I need to keep the service active and it will cost me Re.1/- per day for only those no. of days. Balance days in the month I can deactivate the service and activate once agin whenever I want it.

I was also told that I will get a call from their activation cell for confirmation and they will again call to inform when service is activated. Accordingly I did get confirmation call for activation when it was once again affirmed that they will inform whe the service is activated.

I tried to find these terms & conditions on their customer care no. 121 and for email from them to confirm the terms & conditions but the answer I got was that this service is directly offered from their marketing dept and they are not aware of it at all.

However, when service was activated, there was no information or call to inform me. I came to know that it has been activated when I called their 121 customer care no. to find about it a week ago when they told that it has already been activated. To deactivate it, he said he cannot do so on the phone call and that it will be taken up only if I send a mail to their customer care mail ID.

Now when I sent the mail, I get a response that it will take 3 working days to deactivate for the same.

My issue is :

Why was I not informed when the service was activated so that I could choose to keep it activated it or deactivate it? This when I had been confirmed that I will be called & informed about the activation.

Why no terms & conditions are not sent by email or ontheir website so that it is authentic and one understands all the terms?

The condition that it would take 3 working days to deactivate was never told and now I am forced to bear the expenses for about 10 days time since activation. This is sheer cheating and want it to reversed and issue addressed.
