I had recently taken an Airtel connection at my home and had requested for wiring for a parallel connection. The intial request was made on 11th Feb and the complaint no. 3707454. Although I had been calling Airtel again and again, no one turned up. When I called up Airtel on 29th Feb, I was informed that my request is closed even without attending to it. I again launched another complaint on the same day (No. 4246968) and I was promised that this will be attended within noon on 1st March. Still no one turned up and I again made a call and was informed that some one will be positively coming by 5.30 pm. I waited till 5.45 pm and again enquired with Airtel and the lady who took the phone that a technician will attend to this issue by noon on 2nd March, even though it is a Sunday. Again, nothing happened. When I called Airtel on 2nd March, I was told that no one will work on Sundays!!!
I was really surprised to note that a company like Airtel is so irresponsive to customer complaints! Although I had this connection only for just 1 1/2 months, I am seriously thinking of discontinuing this connection and go to some other service provider.
In case you are planning to take an Airtel connection, my adivse to you is to think twice before you commit yourself.
