BARRED MY MOBILE NUMBER AFTER GETTING ALL THE MONEY

I got a new Airtel postpaid mobile number (9940837777), from Airtel dealer Greentel of Tirupur. They have collected my address proof and also Rs.500 for activation charge and also for Golden number. I have used the number for few days and surrendered my old numbers also shifted my contact totally to this number now my mobile number is barred and they are giving the reason as the address in my proof (driving licence, scanned copy of the same is attached with this mail for your reference) doesn't have the postpaid service. Can't the dealer inform it to me in advance while I am approaching for a number, the dealer is not helping me to make the same number as a prepaid number, then what is the answer for my money and contact. Now I need that number as even as a prepaid number.
