On 22nd april I registered myself for a postpaid connection in the below mentioned Airtel showroom.
Till now my connection is not activated and I have lost my patience in talking with the customer care people. I was given a SIM holding the number "89914 00212 0171 5454 2", but the connection was activated by mapping it to someother SIM number, AIRTEL technicalcustomer care person couldn't figure out the problem for 2 days and later I made it clear to them. Now its 2 days since I gave them the clarity on what needs to be done, I want this SIM to be mapped to my Phone number as I'm not interested to visit the show room anymore cos of their poor way of customer handling.
Giving me a SIM and recording someother SIM number is first instance of their lethargic way of working, I have one more instance where in the receipt (holding 5040 number) the mobile number is mentioned as 95000175122, which is suppose to be 9500017512. Third instance is, I was given a number by the sales team (9840044799) for support, but unfortunately no one bothered to pick the phone when dialed.
Coming back to your customer care I would have made about 10 calls of which only in 3 I was able to talk to a responsible person. I have logged 3 complaints with AIRTEL (two for activation and one on the showroom for poor customer handling), now sure of what is going to be your action on them.
My plan was to create a CUG group and was suppose to move out of station. But due to all these mess-up by AIRTEL, I'm forced to cancel my trip.
I beleive that you understand my frustration on the way AIRTEL has delayed in activating a connection. While registering for the connection I was promised that the number will be activated in 24 hrs, but now multiple 24 hrs have gone and nothing has happened.
