Airtel mobile 9810641340 Complaints - Airtel claims non reciept of payment
I received the bill No. 898529631 for an amount of Rs.1659.53 in the month of March 2009 ( payable by middle of April 2009 ) and I paid the same vide HDFC cheque No. 0197601 dtd 08-04-09. The cheque, as per the monthly bank statement, has been credited to Airtel`s account.
In the following month, Airtel treated this amount as unpaid and added in the next month bill. Since as per our Hdfc bank statement, the cheque had been cashed in favour of Airtel, I paid the April month bill in cash and lodged the complaint for the March month payment in Faridabad customer care center.
Nothing happened. Airtel disconnected the outgoing calls of the phone. I sent numerous mails to Airtel`s 121, nodal and appellate authorities, but of no avail. Airtel kept on insisting that they have not
received the sum.
I tried to convince customer care that, as per the monthly HDFC bank statement, the amount has been credited to Airtel. The only thing is that the amount must have gone to some other account due to some error, but- in any case- it is with Airtel .And that, if the amount paid by the said cheque has not gone in above phone`s account, it ( the cheque ) should have returned to me. I explained this to the customer care people in detail and requested them not to disconnect the outgoing calls. But they did not consider my request and kept the outgoing calls disconnected. I even forwarded the partial HDFC bank statement, showing the said status ie the cheque credited in favour of Airtel.
Airtel remained unmoved and did not restore the outgoing call facilities. Even the forwarding of
of the partial bank statement- showing the status of said cheque- did not help and the outgoing call facility remained disconnected.
What should I do?
