My parents- in- law had applied for passport online and submitted the application at the passport office, Kolkata with all documents on 22 Jan. The police verification by the Serampore Police Intelligence was done on 11 March and sent to DIB Chinchurah. As my parents have to visit relatives in Singapore in June they went to the DIB office in Chinchurah where they were informed that even after police verification is done, the office takes six months to dispatch the reports to the passport office.

I want my parents to get their passports soon so that they can travel as per their schedule.
