Caste certificate

I am a jangid by birth, but in my school TC my caste is written as marwadi by my parents who are uneducated and as we were poor had no property or documents mentioning the case.my father used to do carpentery work and we still have old carpenters tools with us Sharma is a surname used by most of my community living in Rajasthan and sharma is not a caste.

Now my children need a caste certificate, I approached the tehsil office here they want a document atleast 50 years old mentioning my caste. My grandfather migrated from Rajasthan to other states in search of livelihood so now I have settled in maharashtre since 1993. my children are schooling here and my question is IS THERE ANY OTHER WAY TO PROVE MY CASTE, can my community membership prove that or my relatives caste prove who I am? pls guide me.
