Dear Madam,

I am holder of PAN No. AJCPB4323N and a regular tax paying citizen from Nasik.

I had received a letter from Income Tax (Mlg/DCIT,

CIR3/REC-09/459) asking for recovery of unpaid dues Rs.56, 963/-

(inclusive of interest & penalty Rs 11, 643/-)

The dues were pending because In the mid of year I had changed

my employer and hence had filed the returns for the year using the

form 60 received from my new employer. I was not aware that I need to

contact the old emloyer and ask for a form 60 and then file returns.

As a responsible citizen, I Immediately made the said payment. I did

not skip this tax intentionally and I was never pre-informed that I

have a due before charging the interest & penalty, as also the

assessment was delayed from the IT department.

Hence I wrote a letter to Mr. Mr. G.S. Souryawanshi Dy Commissioner of

Income Tax for refund of Rs.11, 643/- (Penalty & interest)

However I have not heard anything from them neither I have received the refund.

Request you to kindly check and help me get the refund of 11, 643

charged as penalty & interest.
