I had applied for my passport on 23 Feb and the police verification was done on 25th Feb. I am still waiting for my passport.
When i checked with the policeman who had called me with the documents, he informed me that he had sent it to the CID office on 19 April. I have not received any update till now. I called the 1090 number several times but they keep informing me that the documents are with the CID office. The Mumbai police website only shows the status as 'Received From TROMBAY Police Station PSR status on 19-04'. All my documents are proper as per the passport criteria and I even submitted all necessary documents at the police station. ALSO THE POLICE HAD ASKED ME FOR MY SALARY SLIP WHICH I DONT THINK IS NECESSARY FOR VERIFICATION AS PER THE PASSPORT GUIDELINES.
